Network-Specific Requirements & “Gotchas”
This section provides you with info about some network's requrements. Check it before sending transactions.
XRP
- Destination Tag: Some exchanges require a tag to route deposits. Personal wallets typically do not need a tag, but always check the receiving side.
- Minimum Reserve: New XRP accounts require a 1 XRP minimum to be funded/active. Small deposits below 1 XRP to an unfunded account may fail.
EVM chains (ETH, BSC, Polygon, etc.)
Moving ERC-20/other tokens requires the chain’s native coin for gas (e.g., ETH for ERC-20).
Bitcoin family (BTC, BCH, DASH, DOGE, LTC)
Expect change addresses and address rotation for privacy (normal).
Solana (SOL)
Creating certain token accounts may require a small rent-exempt balance; fees are paid in SOL.
TON / TRX
“Memo/comment” fields may be optional; some exchanges require them — check before sending.
SUI
Transactions require SUI for gas; make sure you hold a small amount.
Always check the receiving platform’s instructions for tags/memos and minimums before sending.
